While our consulting focus has always remained in the areas of engineering, failure analysis, and safety, we expanded our market, in 1998, to include product-testing services.

As we had hoped, by extending our services into product testing, our services in one industry became very complimentary to the others. Our insurance and legal clients receive the added value of consultants and experts that are involved in industry work, not just litigation. Likewise, our manufacturing clients receive the value of a product-testing firm with special insight into failure analysis and safety.

By 1991, we saw an increase in the need for fire investigations; therefore, Fire Cause Investigations (FCI) was born. FCI is a division of SEAL that provides fire origin and cause investigation services throughout the United States.
